My point is that for 2 generations it appears that Nintendo is releasing underpowered consoles that what makes them different is the fact they have a different type of control. There is nothing that the Wii did that could not have been done on the PS3 or 360 with Nintendo releasing a controller with the game. Now with the Wii U to play the next Mario you need tp purchase an underpowered console that has a new control scheme. Why not simply make the new controller and have it work with more powerful consoles. |
It seems that for you the most important aspect of a gaming console is the power (feel free to correct me if I am wrong). For me the most important part are the games. I just don´t care the power or the specifications of a console if I can have fun with the games. For that reason the Nintendo DS, the original playstation and the PS2 are my favorite gaming systems ever. All three were underpowered compare to the other systems of their generation. The first Xbox could make everything that the PS2 could do, and it could do it better. Also it could do things that the PS2 could not do. That made the PS2 irrelevant? no. Why? Because (in my opinion) the games are what makes the system successful, not the hardware.
