The hardcore games looked great, some of the kinect stuff looked fun, and the Xbox Glass stuff looks very cool.
Halo 4, Splinter Cell, Gears of War Judgment, and Forza Horizon all are going to be killer. The rest was gravy.
As for the show itself. It's a freaking press conference, not an entertainment show. Who cares if Nike wants to sell you a shoe or if Usher does a dance? That's all just business. The games look freaking amazing. |

??? what does it being their for entertainement and announcements have to do with the expo. the press conference is supposed to create buzz and to also "entertain" the viewers by showing them new footage and some gameplay demos etc...

THe press conference did just that. It showed new footage, new games, and new tech. People are saying it's boring, probably because they wanted it to be nothing but an hour and a half of explosive trailers. I say MS showed us cool stuff and that's all that matters. If you didn't like everything you saw, well that's because not everything related to Xbox is for you. Believe it or not, some games aren't designed for hardcore-gaming24/7-eat/drink/play-gamers. Some games are for very large demographics like children, families, dancing teenagers, athletes, etc. If MS ignored all but the most hardcore the Xbox would fail.
The stuff at the press conference that was for me was great and I can't wait to play it all. The stuff that wasn't for me looks like it's going to make Xbox 360 even bigger in other demographics. That's good for all gamers.
It wasn't a show to entertain you. It was a show to inform the public on the current state and future of the Xbox brand. Some of that is boring and some of that is fun. The fun stuff looks great, but the boring stuff is important too.
Just so you know I think the show was a 7 out of 10. I would have liked to see a new Perfect Dark or Left 4 Dead or Alan Wake. Overall it was good. With that said I've never seen a press conference that I'd rate higher than 7 or 8. Even years with a new hardware reveal.

i agree with you that it is a 7/10 but the way it was presented and the usher/rock throwing kinect game/ie9/nike were useless and they made the conference dull. the conference is aimed at the demographic of gaming journalists and at hardcore gamers, so showing things like smart glass, ie9 and dance central is fine as long as it doesnt take a big part of the press conference(which it did).
and considering e3 is for the hardcore gamers and considering the press conference is part of e3 then it is made to entartain and to inform us.
but like i said before it wasnt that bad but ms could have made it better.
