Yeah I actually like my games linear from time to time, and Alan Wake's story just wouldn't work as well in an open environment.

Its like saying I hope Uncharted 4 is open world. It just silly.

People only say it about Alan Wake because it was gonna be an open world till Remedy realised it doesnt work for storytelling tightly like Alan Wake. Which is why Alan Wake was so good.
