I am really trying to give a fuck, but I cannot manage to do so. At heart I am a fairly sympathetic person, and always look for the good in people. That said this asshole has been driving around drunk, and you can't argue that isn't the case. Nobody uses their car as a trashcan for their liquor bottles or beer cans. When you drink at a house you toss them in the trash there. When you drink while camping you toss your garbage into a bag, and seal the bag. The only conceivable reason there were empty containers in that vehicles is that he was drinking while driving. The only real difference between drunk driving, and open containers is they didn't catch him in the act.
He deserves to be kicked out, and I for one am glad that he was. Hell I wish they had kicked him out of the plane while it was somewhere over the ocean. I have absolutely no pity for a jerk who thinks he is entitled to gamble with other peoples lives. He sounds like a accident looking for a victim. Everyone is better off now that he left, and I mean everyone his family included. At least they won't have to wait around for the other shoe to drop. You know when he would have inevitably plowed into a midsize car filled with children.
I am sorry if this sounds callous. I am just sick of this nonchalant view on drunk driving. It isn't a minor crime, and it should be held with utter contempt. If drunk drivers were greeted with the same scorn that is reserved for the likes of kiddy porn collectors then society would be going in the right direction. Every time they get a slap on the wrist. The more they think as a group that it is a victimless crime. Drinking isn't a right it's a responsibility.
