Ron Paul sez:  "The We the People Act forbids federal courts, including the Supreme Court, from adjudicating cases concerning State laws and polices relating to religious liberties or "privacy," including cases involving sexual practices, sexual orientation or reproduction. The We the People Act also protects the traditional definition of marriage from judicial activism by ensuring the Supreme Court cannot abuse the equal protection clause to redefine marriage. In order to hold Federal judges accountable for abusing their powers, the act also provides that a judge who violates the act's limitations on judicial power shall either be impeached by Congress or removed by the President, according to rules established by the Congress."]

It would be absolutely fucking epic to watch the Supreme Court bring down the hammer on the law that was created to restrict their power. The We The People Act infringes on Constitutionally-granted rights of the courts to regulate state laws regarding, well, almost anything.

Paul's endorsement of that law alone should be enough to make any rational, free-thinking person to kick him to the fucking curb. That law is dangerous, unconstitutional (the actual correct usage of that word), and frightening. It destroys the brilliant checks and balances system we have in place to prevent one branch of government from steamrolling the other branches. In this case, it's the actual United States people who would get steamrolled. The courts are doing exactly what they're supposed to do when they strike down laws involving religious freedom and private liberties. By and large, they're protecting Constitutional rights given to you and me, the people. You may not always agree with their decisions but if you ever advocate those powers being taken away from the SCOTUS, you're just not thinking things through. On a long list of bad ideas I've heard presented by politicians over the years, that one might be the worst and most frightening of them all.
