| DoesWhatNintenDont said: While Mario is money in the bank, in regards to Nintendo getting into my wallet, I for one remain skeptical that it will meet or eclipse Mario 64. This could just be my nostalgia enfused youth speaking, as I remember traveling up to Toys R Us daily to wait in line to test Mario 64 and NiGHTS. While I love the fact that they are really expanding some ideas with Mario, that is the whole space angle, I'm still saddened they they haven't done a Mario 64-esque free roaming game through the entire Mushroom Kingdom. |
Heh, I wonder if that's a test of a classic, if you remember playing it before it was even out. I remember playing Mario 64 at a kiosk at Blockbuster a month before it was released, and I remember playing F-Zero for the SNES in Software Etc. before the SNES was released.
Alex - To be clear, I wasn't complaining about Sunshine; I thought it was a great game, just not as great as SM64. I got all 120 stars in SM64, but I couldn't be bothered to do the same in Sunshine. I went after most of them, but several were simply too frustrating due to the touchy controls.
