I'm certain SamuelRSmith is from the U.K, I'm pretty sure I remember him saying that he's at Kent University (I remember well as that was my reserve choice for uni).  He's just an Americanophile and knowledgable about US Politics and political history.  That's not to say the thread isn't misleading though
