I started gaming back in the late 90s. I think the first game I've ever played was some Mario game on the SNES. I then migrated to the Playstation One. My parents bought me games like Crash Bandicoot and Namco museum. I dabbled a little into games like Resident Evil & Driver, but I really never strayed from those first two games. When the PS2 released, I finally got to choose which games I wanted. I had too many games to own but my most played was definitely Grand Theft Auto . Then when I got a Gamecube, and most of my time was spent on Super Smash Bros. I interchanged between those two systems for a while before I finally got a Wii in 2007, an Xbox 360 in 2008, and my own PS3 in 2009 (though I had access to one in 2007).

These past few years, I've went back to last gen to catch up on a lot of games that I was too young to notice. I've even went back to the PS1 / N64 era to play some of their gems (via illegal emulators). But I only played the Super Mario 64 & Zelda: OOT for a few hours. The controls were too dated for me to play through. I mainly played PS2 games. I find a lot of games that I missed like the Hitman series, Shadow of The Collosus, the Metal Gear Solid series, Resident Evil 4, and much more! This gen, I've spent most of my time on the HD consoles with a fair amount of time on the Wii whenever it gets a good game.

My favorite types of games are action adventure games. Shadow of The Collosus is probably my favorite game in this area. The game's controls were so simple and everything was happening through the gameplay. Every collosi was a blast and a puzzle to defeat. It's one of the few games that actually knows how to do a cinematic feel without casualizing the gameplay. I was dissapointed to find out that there are no more games similar to it. Games like Zelda & Demon's Souls are also some of my favorites in this genre.

Another one of my favorite genres is the stealth genre. These games offer a good mind challenge and can be very tense when hiding around characters. These are the only games where you can really sit back and analyze your opponents without engaging them. My favorite stealth games have come from last gen. Hitman, Metal Gear Solid, Splinter Cell, and Socom were my favorites. Sadly, this gen has been pretty devoid of many good stealth games. Metal Gear Solid 4 was the only good one for me. Splinter Cell went the action route, and unfortunately, my favorite stealth series, Hitman, seems to be going action too. It's a shame really, and one of my problems with this generation. All this casual crap can go for all I care!
