I haven't started writing anything yet - but I've been working on it for the last... 15 years? Give or take a year or two. And I don't think I'll start any time soon cuz I want to be prepared when I do. I'm working on a fantasy world, trying to create it's histoty, mythology, peoples, the tectonic plate movements which will decide where the mountains are - you know, the usual stuff you need to have firmly in place before you even begin thinking about what name your character will have (and oh man, don't get me started about trying to find that perfect name either!).
It seems to me that ppl just rush into these kind of things with no plan whatsoever! There's a hell of alot of research you have to do before writing.
But I've told myself that I'll start writing it for real after my 29th birthday (which is this year)
