Why aren't you making something from scratch? Scripting for someone else's game doesn't make you a developer.

People will be more impressed by a simple, well designed 2D game than what you're doing.

Edit: Let me tell you the truth. If you have to do 6 posts in a row in your own thread to keep it alive, no one is interested or reading it. It's fine to have a personal project but when it's so badly made and badly presented (that website..) you're not going to be able to get people to follow your progress.

Wait until you have something substantial to show (characters and story and ideas DO NOT COUNT, they are cheap) and then post it in emulation of a professional devblog, rather than a 1995 flashback personal page.
