The fact that Uncharted 3 and Twisted Metal do not work on my specific 80GB PS3 SKU due to a firmware conflict, renders your entire argument moot.

Arbitrary but solitary issues such as not being able to play a particular game will persist on all modern platforms that rely on any kind of software updates and have varying hardware(SKUs for consoles). You're just lucky not to come across a similar issue yourself on consoles. And in the instance that one were to come across such an issue, that shouldn't entitle them to make such sweeping generalizations.

Though so you don't feel like I'm ganging up on you I'll admit that D3 has many problems but it isn't even remotely indicative of PC gaming as a whole.

There's a simple fix for your problem-- update your firmware.  It's not due to some sort of fault your games don't work, it's due to your choice of not wanting to update your firmware for whatever reason that may be.  That's like saying I'm mad that Diablo 3 won't run on my Windows 98 machine.

And while Diablo 3 has been the worst I've seen in a long time, it's not at all isolated (for me at least).  I can't remember the last time I had a PC game that just worked except for perhaps some Steam games (which I admit is great).  Every time I've installed a non-Steam game, I've always had to jump through many hoops just to get the game running.
