So I still can’t really play Diablo 3.

I can play during lunch at work…but that’s really only in small chunks and I always have to be wary of when checkpoints are and how much time I have left (so I really get to play in 30 minutes chunks).  At home, I just can’t install the game even though I have a PC that exceeds the recommended requirements.  Every time I try to install the game, the agent.exe tries to update itself and eventually crashes.  Sometimes I manage to actually start downloading the game but it still eventually crashes.  I’ve deleted my ProgramData/battle.net folder, set peer-to-peer to false, disabled all security programs, tried installing in safe mode with networking support, tries using someone else’s battle.net folder (that one usually gets me the furthest), and tried downloading the game at work and then transferring it to home, along with every fix I’ve been able to find online and I just can’t install the game.  I’ve spent countless hours trying to install the game and nothing has worked.  A few times I’ve managed to get the downloader going and get as far as 20-ish percent before it crashes.  One time it even let me click the play button before crashing, but I’ve never actually gotten it installed.

So yeah, every time someone tries to tell me that PC gaming is alive and well and the king of everything, I want to punch them in the face.  Games may look better on better, whatever, but at least I can play my console games.
