Still so far away!!
Today's game to hype:
I'm not sure why I'm so excited to see this game at E3. Perhaps it's because I have great memories of watching my brother play the first title many years ago. Maybe it's because of all those days aimlessly wandering around the open fields in Far Cry 2 lighting everything on fire, and hopefully being able to do the same in Far Cry 3 (though I don't think all that greenery will burn as well). Or perhaps I just really enjoy the more tropical setting, and incredibly beautiful art style that was shown in last years trailer. Whatever the case, the new entry in the series definitely has a lot going for it to garner attention from those who love the series, to those who are yet to give it a chance.
"Far Cry 3 returns the series to a tropical island setting, similar to the first game and unlike the second game, which took place in an African savanna setting. Players will assume the role of protagonist Jason Brody, a tourist who has been stranded on an island chain in the grips of violent local conflict for years. Jason has been separated from his girlfriend and, in his search for her, developers have stated he will have to deal with a wide cast of mostly unstable characters who have been trapped on these islands for some time."
