| FattyDingDong said: Im sure you've been called a loser or a nerd. A lot of people think that gamers are just bunch of socially awkward nerds who cant get a date. and i partially agree with them. I do believe that people who play video games constantly are indeed "nerds" and "losers". Seriosuly, how can people just sit all day and play games. I only play games on weekends for about an hour. Like seriously this is not a troll or hate thread, i just wanna know why are there "some" gamers who play 24/7 non stop. And I'd like to ask you guys if you think they are considered "losers" or not. |
Well, I don't play 24/7 non-stop (don't even play daily), but if some smug prick walked up to me and called me a "loser" for being into video games I'd probably say something along the lines of "I don't remember asking your opinion you smug f*cking c**t, what's it to you anyway? I don't know YOU!"
This would be accompanied by the appropriate body language, unless the guy looked exceptionally tough or psychotic.
To be honest, the term "loser" as an insult is an American import and very rarely used in the UK. I would be equally likely to mock their pathetic choice of insult as I would be to actually get angry about it.
To me the whole loser/winner thing is far too subjective anyway. One of the best things you can be in life is authentic, a big part of that is being honest with yourself about what you're into and not giving two f*cks what other people think about it - if anything, that's winning.
In short "None of us can ever truly be free until nerd persecution ends!" - That bit at the end of underrated classic comedy 'Revenge of the Nerds'.
Too much planning, and you'll never get anything done.
