I don't know about all of that, but I do know that Sony is absolutely terrible at advertising their games and products. I don't think I've seen anything for Twisted Metal or Starhawk, nor do I remember much for bigger games like Uncharted 2, GOW 3, and Gran Turismo 5 (Let alone their biggest release in years, the Vita). Even when they do put a lot into marketing a game (Uncharted 3) I don't think it is done very well (those subway commercials...).
