Some people watch tv every day, I play games every day.
Games are more social nowadays then tv, although I mostly stay away from multiplayer games.
When I was playing avg 6 hours a day it was the most social time of my life. Back in the day when mmorpg's were still glorified chat rooms. Now we have facebook for that stuff but I quickly grew bored of that.
Different people like different things. I never understood how people can like watching sports and getting drunk. Then talk about cars and girls all night. That just seems pointless and boring to me.
I rather jump on my mountain bike and ride through the woods for a couple of hours or jump in the pool. Speaking of which it's 77 outside, the water is 79, I'm hydrated again from my bike ride, time to jump in.
