They simply cannot launch at more than $299. In fact, I'd go so far as to say that if it doesn't start at $249, they'll never even come close to the lifetime sales of the original Wii. By the time it releases, the PS3 will be $199, and the core X360 will be even less.
Will they learn from the 3DS launch...
