But the sequel to this will be in the same region and they already confirmed it will take place like 2 years or something after the events of the first one so I am pretty sure you would need to at least know some basic knowledge of what happened in the first game to understand some of the main aspects that might happen, but than again it might come out as Nostalgia for those who played it and might be beginner friendly for the series or to those who didnt get to play the first one o.o.

The first one was shallow enough for you to not have to play it to understand the story. Not saying it's a bad game, it just doesn't have much of a vast story. Why do you think this'll change that?
