Epic Games artist Francois Antoine ahs revealed that a UK studio could be the first third-party to work on Unreal Engine 4 projects.
The senior FX artist worked on both the Samaritan and UE4 demos, and wrote onLinkedIn that Pitbull is "working on Unreal Engine 4 with Epic Games, along with games derived from that and Unreal Engine 3."
Pitbull was founded in 2009 and is made up of developers that have worked on franchises such as Dust 514, Driver and Need For Speed. The studio's site says most of its projects "are done under NDA," but it's also looking for Engine Programmers, Environment Artists, Character Artists and Gameplay Programmers to "work on current and next generation games."
If Pitbull is working on games "derived" from Unreal Engine 4, that makes it the first confirmed developer other than Epic to work with the tech.
Epic Games showed Unreal Engine 4 at GDC and made it public for the first time last week.
