The problem is devs will figure that if people are gaming on a Wii U then they do not care about graphics much, same way they did with the Wii. So the Wii U will end up with games that do not match up to games like Uncharted 3, BF3, GoD3 etc, much like the majority of Wii games do not match up to top GC titles, despite being able. Only a few games made that effort on Wii.

Doubt that, because if you're going to make games that underpowered, why make them for consoles at all? The other point possibly being that rising dev costs will mean that developers are forced to incorporate Wii U into their plans at least until PS4/720 have a healthy userbase between them (which could take at least until late 2014), by which point the Wii U would be so entrenched in the system that it would be harder to ignore completely.
