| man-bear-pig said: The past few years have been terrible for Sony, and just last week Sony shares plummeted to a 30 year low. This is due to disappointing PS3 sales, huge losses in their TV business, a weak yen, and various other factors. What I want to know is, do you think Sony can ever be able to retake it's position as one of the world's largest companies? If so, how can they get there? The Sony brand name is still hugely powerful, and so I think it is not beyond the point of no return. I think they should move away from handheld gaming, and focus on making top of the range smartphones, because that is where the handheld gaming market is heading. Also, their TV business needs huge re-structuring in order for it to return to profitability. What do you think? Discuss! |
WRONG.
Ps3 sales were fine. That price cut was what caused them to bleed money.
Will they ever reach PS2 level success? No.
Will the company as a whole ever be on top of the world again? No. But that does'nt mean they can't run a successful company and be profitable.
