The original outing on the Wii sold well. But then it only released one game between Wii launch and PS3/Xbox 360 launch.
The problem was that rather than build on the Wii success, THQ decided to try to sell it on other consoles. That strategy - let's move a Wii success to other platforms - has not worked well this generation (think of deBlob). So instead of trying to keep the Wii marketed in place, it went for broke with new hardware and ended up being broke.
Of course, a lot of things have been successful one time and not so much the second time on the Wii. So there is no guarantee that trying to build up things on the Wii would have worked ... but it had a higher probability.

I am Mario.I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble. Wii Friend Code: 1624 6601 1126 1492 NNID: Mike_INTV |
