lots of casual gamers wont need to go anywhere near a console again... particularly handhelds.

Deep down they know the truth, but they are in denile.

When apple release the iTV and you can plug iPads, iPhones etc. into them and they release a xbox 360/ ps3 style controller, then the home console market will fall to pieces..

Theyve done that, and they haven't done a single thing other than the driving game since its release in 2007. No dev wants to touch it, it's too risky. The odds of people having an iphone and Apple TV are slim, Apple won't release a controller because it contradicts everything the company is working for which is simplicity, and Apple Tvs are not selling well at all. Last year it sold something like 4 million, thats a very small number. People aren't interested in the product compared to other Idevices.
