I know that, but usually you only either get a Lucario late game (on the 4th gen games) or only through trade post-game (5th gen). Since it's already been established that other gen pokemons are in the main game portion and not only in the post game (well at least some other gen pokemon), it would be amazing if you actually had a Lucario during the main quest.
There's literally an infinite mount of Bisharp and Scrafty ass you can potentially kick
