Almost sounds like my kind of guy (with certain preconditions i'll accept the flat tax) barring the protectionism thing. Wonder why he drew more from the Right as he did? |
It's more like "The right stuck with him./Everyone was mad at Bush."
Originally he had more Democratic apporval then Republican approval.
When he was laeding the polls it was Perot 39%, Bush 31, Clinton 25.
Ended up Clinton 43%, Bush 37%, Perot 19%.
Assuming Bush and Clinton didn't take any of each others supporters (not likely, but for the sake of arguement.)
That means Clinton got 18% from Perot... with Bush only getting 6%.
When perot dropped out and killed his poll numbers Clinton saw a huge boost.
Had he not dropped out. He had a good chance of winning. Dropping out because according to him Republicans were blackmailing him with photos of his daughter. Apparently this may or may not have been true/a ploy by a specific bush supporter.
It's sort of what a McCain/Obama election would of looked like had a more "perceived" moderate democrat come out. Or honestly, this election. The Obama election team has been a mess.
I mean... basically throwing yourself away from gay marraige 2 days ago, only to support it today? Guess somebody got the memo that most americans are pro gay marriage and got some other quick poll numbers.
That combined with throwing every insult at romney no matter how cluttered and contradicting they are.... it's desperate. His only saving grace is that Romney is a weak Kerry like opponent.
