By Feb 2012 they revised to a loss of $2.76bn

In April 2012 this was revised to a $6.4bn loss

I believe the word your looking for is: "fail".

Apperantly they have been extremely uncapable in predicting their own revenue/profit/loss stream.

Sony has been a year away from being profitable for the past 7 years... they're due.
