Sony should try to produce at least six new IP on Orbis. These IP should all be new and by that I mean original new content not ripping anyone off and not made to completely follow a trend. These new IP will be risky but Sony is in a position where it needs to take risks.
Sony needs the games, no matter how you justify it. No matter how beautiful the graphics are, no matter how good the writing and plot. If the game is not original and Sony keeps comparing it to other existing IP customers simply will not support the games.
If I were Sony, Nintendo would be scaring me right now. Because Nintendo is starting to play Sony's game as well as their own. So while Nintendo works on brand new ideas and innovations, they are also starting to green light projects that will follow the leader. Simply put Nintendo gets enough gamers on their new original content that now they are turning their attention to Sony's follow the leader content.
Fact is Sony needs to get out ahead of its competitors. But they don't appear to be doing or even trying it!
