Move to L.A.
You will see there is nothing special.

Haha yeah i'd agree with this, I spent 12 months living in orange county & spent a ton of time In L.A during then. Came from Gold Coast Australia originally which is like california lite. Our population (female at least) spends our lives looking up to L.A, But got there, 1st 3 months were great after that the girls turned out to be more politic-y & dramatic than my group in australia & the reality of the 'california lite'-ness meant just a simlar environment to home but with more people & more polluted. It really wasnt anythig flash, I'd highly recommend it for a holiday but not to live. Just personal experience of course, though my housemate is from Beverly Hills & she is loving her time away from there (coming on 2 years) currently too with no plans to go back.

I would say 180 degrees reverse that, Australia (your homeland) seems to be one of the best places to live in, social and youth life there seems great.

Every single Australian I've met this far is easy going and friendly.

Thanks, Australia is ok, but it too has its issues, Personally if I could choose I'd live in Japan, but I Just dont fit in there (being a blonde haired blue eyed spent my life living in a beach city type) but Harajuku is my fashion mecca, If I could live there I would spend twice the fortune I already do on clothing. For chill factor I've found NZ to be amazing though, nothing fazes these guys. But L.A & the O.C just wasnt my scene, though we do worship those places almost religiously in Australia. If you told any Gold Coast girl (except one with experinces like mine) that Aussie was better than L.a you'd be lynched, haha.
