While it kind of sucks that they aren't offering anything extra it's a great extra option that people have to buy a 360.
In all honesty if they had something like this for the next box, depending on my financial situation when it comes out, there'd be a chance I would go that route.
With the 360 I had to wait until early 2007 to buy one (when I really wanted to buy one right away) but if they would have had a cheaper model with a subscription then I could have gotten it much closer to release.
