Alone the overuse of all FMVs and different solutions for some areas and battles aren't doable there. And who needs FMVs? say some people....Well why not having them if the PS3 can do 5 hours of them in NATIVE 1080p without sacrificing any other aspects of the game? |
That's genuinely one of the most interesting things I've ever heard about Versus XIII :P Of course, I'd love to see it - I always want Sony to bolster their roster of first party developers, but it'd never happen.
I would be really intrigued to hear what Nomura has to say about the whole thing. He's been a pretty strong support of Sony for the past 2 generations, I wonder if he view changed with the hard-to-code architecture of the PS3. The last I read of the matter, he said something like it's still a PS3 exclusive as far as he's concerned.
On topic, the game has only been in '100% production' since September. Given that the game is going to be about say, 40-60 hours long (I hope) there's still quite a way to go yet. I'd like to see an update on it sometime this year, though. Even if it comes out at the end of PS3's life, it's still going to be a nice swansong like FFIX was for the PS1, or Last Story/Pandora's Tower have been for Wii. And of course, I still have a lot of hopes pinned on this game as redemption for a number of iffy titles by Squeenix.
