Good article. Points to many issues in many religions today.
As a Muslim, I still believe in a God that is the creation i.e. the universe itself. No form no sex no needs. But It still exists.
I am God, you are God, this computer is God, the web, the earth, the sun, the dark matter, the everything is God.
But in the end... you really only need to be a good person and treat others as you'd want to be treated. Respect difference and try your best to leave the world in a better state than when you entered it.
Athiest or not... there's no way a all good God will punish anyone simply because they didn't think God existed or called God one of the millions of different names there are. That's just illogical and doesn't make any sense. Furthermore I'm positive that part is made up by men wanting power and not by God wanting good.
