To be fair, I see what he means, that the 3DS was in a similar position. Yet still for some reason its sales were much stronger even prior to the price drop.

So somehow the 3DS was still more compelling than the Vita H1 of year 1. Was it the e-shop, was it the 3D? Was it the fact that customers knew good games were coming? Street Fighter IV maybe? idk honestly.

Backwards compatibility.
