So no Vita version then? I guess this means we can shelve the idea of crossplatform multiplayer with the PS3.

And yes, somebody had to say it. May as well be me.

This is more of a good thing, that means the Cod on Vita will be only available on Vita. If the same Cod was available on PS360 and PC people wouldn't see it as a reason to get a Vita.

I don't know about that. Firstly, an exclusive CoD would lack a number and it's clear that numbers sell. Secondly, without crossplatform multiplayer, Vita owners will be all on their own and have to build their own community instead of being able to tie in with a large existing one.

Black ops didn't have a number, nor did World at war, both of which sold better than their numbered predecessors. I don't think building a community will be a problem, most of the people I know that play Cod (a lot, I'm in secondary school) mostly play by themselves, it's lone-wolf type multiplayer. I brought my Vita into school a few weeks ago and all the chavvy/bro-type guys were super impressed by it, they wanted it. 2 of them even specifically mentioned buying one if Cod was on it, I'm sure the rest were thinking the same. I know it's a small sample of people, but I think it's still a good representation.

If it is just a straight port though, I don't think it'll give it too much of a push.
