Sorry, but yeah it is ignorant. Just like buying furniture or rims for you car from rent to own places.
You end up spending a lot more for the same item.
There are far better alternatives if you have a little patience and if you don't own the console yet, you must have patience already.
You can use layaway from kmart or simply save the money over time to purchase. Both of which allow you to keep the lower price and even get the upcoming price drop later this year.
If anyone starts saving now, they'll get a FAR better deal during xmas. Patience is all that is required.
