that's 9 retail games purchased in 3 months, that HAS to be some sort of record for me. Not to mention the wave of great games coming out for the system in the future and it's surprisingly great DLC stuff.

Did you play Disgaea 2? I liked the first one, and I know you did, but I didn't like the 2nd so I'm curious where you stand on that relating to the 3rd

What exactly didn't you like about the 2nd? If it's the plot and characters Disgaea 3 most definitely doesn't take itself seriously, which puts it in a similar to vein to Disgaea 1. If it's the gameplay it'd be risky to suggest for you to get 3, as the Disgaea games just constantly pile on new and revise old gameplay elements as opposed to changing the formula entirely per iteration.
