Was the Kinect a success gaming-wise?

I am happy with it as an interface. I dont play many games with it by myself but when a group of people are over it is fun. (kind of like my wii). The voice controls for watching movies and the navigating the menus works great too. No need for my controller except to turn off the xbox which kind of sucks.
