Mature games have either some or all of these things
-Nudity
-Gore
-Blood
-Sex scenes and/or references to it
-Mature subjects such that games like Heavy Rain tackle
-Death

Kirby doesn't wear clothing and he devours opponents, presumably ending their lives.

Methinks "Mature" is an arbitrary label.

But they don't actually portray Death in a realistic way. Kirby is made for kids. That should be obvious. It is far from a Mature game.

Mature games include cotent that is inappropriate and/or hard to understand for children. LIke I said before, ususualy this is gore, nudity/sex and deep emotional stories.

There are a fair amount of adults who play and enjoy Kirby, but that's a bit off-topic. I think what you're describing is something along the lines "not safe for children", which I really don't believe is mature by default. It depends on context- whether or not the story is deep, emotional, and intellectually engaging... or at least grounded and not absurd and stupid.

And there are comparatively non-violent games with more thought-provoking narratives than most games you consider to be mature.
