Interesting I did not realize Atari did DLC first I always thought that Sega and Nintendo pioneered online. I did know about the achievements though didn't realize Activision did it first, their were similar systems in place for many games. Even magazines got in on it announcing challenges for the pro gamer to accomplish.
The thing is all of today's latest ideas were born at least a decade ago whether they were implemented or not. I don't think it will be easy for a company to do something nobody has ever thought about, the i-Pad, Google project glass, the Wiimote, Kinect all ideas developed years ago. The ideas simply could not be implemented at the time. Lets see something new like..... well if I imagined something it wouldn't be new for a company to invent would it lol
