I keep talking about parity mostly because I feel it makes the winner each year seem like the won more based off of a good timed hot streak more than truly being the best. No matter.
I agree the success of the Blues, Kings, Coyotes, Predators will probably lead a few teams to follow, but I am sure it will be the usual suspects like Minnesota. I think the only teams that might change to that strategy will have to be ones hiring new coaches for next season that are good at building defensive minded clubs. Goals are down once again and last time this happened the NHL's ratings fell big time which was on of the main reasons for the last lockout as they had to figure out a way to create higher scoring games. I fear with the teams success I mentioned above would could be in for a repeat and it is by far a worse thing than parity.
Philadelphia and high scoring clubs for victory!!!
