Eh, this is bull crap.
Every generation console sales have gone up. Next gen will be no different unless the big 3 put out sub-par weak consoles.
The whole tablet / phone market is a totally different experience. The analysts who think the two overlap each other in a significant way are hilarious. They don't. Now there is perhaps a negative effect on portable consoles, that remains to be seen but in no way does a tablet effect the purchase of a PS3 or 360. They are 100% different things.
