FPS: High or Low Time to Kill (TTK)?

I prefer htk. I like how halo does it. you still have a chance to defend your self if your suprised. If you can manuver well you can get some epic battles. And you can have actual battles, it seems like in CoD you die to fast. Its just who ever find the other person first, no real chance to react and defend.
