In my experience...
LCD -> Only for brightly environments (outdoor).
LED LCD -> Beauty (home decoration) and lower consumption.
PLASMA -> For the best image quality.
LCD is my last choice just for outdoor... LED LCD is my choice only I have so much money to spend... PLASMA for all the others cases.
In fact PLASMA is a better technology (and old) than LCD/LED LCD.
