I don't think Uncharted has the potential to be much bigger than what it currently is. Mega Games (6m+) are usually those that consumers can sink a lot of time in, either through online or offline. These are usually RPGs or online FPS.

Uncharted being a very short 10 hour single player game can't reach that higher level I think. (Uncharted does have multiplayer but it's not more popular than the single-player). I think a great portion of the fans rent them because there isn't much incentive to hold on to them.

It's not impossible for Uncharteds 2 & 3 to cross 6 million (in fact, Uncharted 2 is nearly there). To me, a mega seller is anything above 10 million. Stuff like Gran Tursimo, Mario, Halo all invented something unique, whereas Uncharted is just a very well crafted, jumbled mesh of previously well-executed ideas (with its own spice sprinkled in here and there). It just lacks that final umf to cross 10 million.

6M was just some random number I pulled. By Mega, I meant that level of games just above Uncharted (maybe 8m+).

Uncharted also lacks the game length & replay value of those other games. Most bigger games are those where players put in lots of hours. Uncharted is usually completed in 10 hours & thrown away. This is why I think it's maxed out it's potential. Consumers tend to prefer games they can play for a long time.
