Where does Iraq and the Middle East go from here?

That 40 percent is simply not true. The military wastes the money on purpose because if you don't then next year you will be allotted less. Go buy 500 sets of ta-50 for 100 troops because if you do not spend all the money given you then you will not be given the same amount next year. In fact you need to send a complaint saying you need more money!

Oh, I know all too well that's exactly what goes down. Thing is, though, while they go wasting money on certain unnecessary things to ensure they're allotted enough the next year, other places where we DO need the money are ignored and underfunded. The fund appropriations system is extremely flawed.

 

I am in no way fully behind our military or the decisions we make. I DO, however, think things are much more complicated than most would like to admit - for both sides.
