Movies and Games seem to be good choices for Sony. Everything else? TV is a dinosaur, music...they just bought something...everything else I have no idea.

BMI, which apparently makes Sony the biggest company in music according to the thread I read.....I think...

EMI my friend, EMI!

EMI, Universal, Sony Music and Warner Music have been the big four music publishers for almost 15 years now, with Universal being the biggest single group with market share hovering in the mid to high 20% range, Sony's in the low 20s and EMI's in the low teens.

Now with Sony buying most of EMI's back catalogue they have just edged out Universal with about 30% global market share. Kind of crazy to think that almost 1 in 3 of the songs you listen to will be published under Sony.
