Lol, display fanboy wars???
Plasmas have the reputation of providing better picture quality. I've read that the higher end LEDs are awesome but I think off axis viewing begins to wash out the picture. Not a big deal if it's just you watching all of the time. I have two Panasonic plasmas in my house and the one the kids play on does get some image retention after long sessions of Halo (several hours) but it's not at all noticeable unless the screen is totally black, like when it's off. The image retention does go away too after a little bit, it's really not a big deal and not the exaggerated "burn in" that people like to hype. If you are used to a plasma display then I'd say get another plasma as they offer the best bang for your buck.

Oh, I play on a 23" LCD Asus monitor and I love it. But if I'm playing Halo matchmaking with my kids, I'll go into their room to discuss something about a game we just played and I look at their screen and I wish soooooo badly that my monitor had the color pop of their tv. I know it's not fair to compare a $200 moitor w/ a $700 plasma but it's night and day.
I LOVE paying for Xbox Live! I also love that my love for it pisses off so many people.
