I know some people might be scratching their heads about this, but this is actually a good play. Even before this purchase, Sony Music was already high up there in rank. But now with them being the undisputed number 1, this is something they could use to potentially elevate their other divisions with integration.
Now if they bought someone like Veoh for example, they'd have decent ground covered on both the internet video and music front.
