Yeah, but some of the old school games have amusing glitches lol. Even some games today have them, like Skyrim. I remember seeing some really weird ones on youtube. But those were probably patched by now.
Another thing with patches is small time developers can't afford them. I quickly searched on Google and I saw $40000 per patch. Actually that seems like a lot for any developer. 0_0 I think it also takes relatively a lot of time to get patches approved by Microsoft and Sony so that's another issue.
All in all, it just seems unnecessary to me. I wouldn't mind a patch or two for the whole game but if you put in a game that you haven't played for a good amount of time (especially for the ps3), you have to wait HOURS before you can even get on the main menu. If developers spent the time to make their games patch-proof, that'd be great. If it has a few glitches here and there, we don't really need a patch for that.
