Whatever happens, both games will give 360 a major hardware boost. Funny since one game is a multiplat.

didn't MS get exclusive content and exclusive ads for 5 years or so?  not so much funny as RoI.

Exclusive DLC and advertising makes a big difference in the real world, which is what really matters, but here the PS3 guys still consider it a PS3 game.

It sells 11 million+ on the PS3 (and in 2012, MW3 has sold more on the system). Of course it's also a PS3 game.

OT: Is there confirmation of that? I still don't think these games are going head-to-head in the same week. Just makes little sense when most will likely get just one or the other - regardless of the one they choose. I also agree with Seece on the bundles, Black Ops 2 won't have one (at least not a themed one).

But it sells at least 2 million more on 360 but most importantly only 360 gets a hardware boost. The MW3 bundle was pretty significant

Point being, November will see 2 hardware boosts for 360. People tend not to buy a PS3 just for COD, that only goes for 360.

It goes both ways. I know a few people who bought a PS3 just for COD. It has free online so they play single player on 360 and multiplayer on PS3.
Anyway 360 only gets Modern Warfare bundles. There won't be one for Black Ops 2. so there will only be 1 hardware boost this November.
