And that only applies to PS3 games? Wii games and 360 games don't increase sales at all? Bullshit. The reason it outsold the Xbox 360 in december is because it was fresh off a price cut, and even then it was close most weeks. Why did it fail to outsell the Wii in any market?
Just like when they cut the price to $500 MS cut it to $350. Funny thing anout your scenario is that the roles have reversed now. PS3 is still being sold at a loss while the 360 is apparently making money now. Oh and then there is the Wii that has been profitable since the get go and has only gotten cheaper to make. I wonder if it can afford a price drop...
And, as a final blow here, you might notice another connection in your comparison. The PS2 (best selling system on the market) continued to outsell the Xbox despite the Xbox having better graphics. Do you think that there is a parallel in the current gen? It would mean the most popular console isn't the strongest but can continue to dominate despite a technically superior console being a similar price. I wonder which two consoles we could compare...
